2008 Etowah River Cleanup 1

Doc Stephens, Richard and 3 friends spent the day hauling garbage out of the Etowah River in Dawsonville, Georgia.  There is still much to cleanup, but they have a good idea of how best to plan the next trips.  I couldn’t tell if Doc was moving in or part of the cleanup ; )  The next step would be to begin clearing some of the obstructions so that more people can help with the cleanup, eventually leading to  a regular paddling trip.  This is by far, one of the most idyllic sections of any river in Georgia.  It’ll be great!
